In Nakhchivan city Haydar Aliyev’s bust was erected
(1983) and Haydar Aliyev Museum was created. With the President
of Azerbaijan Republic, Ilham Aluyev’s order the Military Lyceum
was created named fater Haydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan city (2004).
In a lot of big cities, settlements and villages of the
Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic the parks, gardens and squares
named after Haydar Aliyev were laid out and spring-water
memorial monuments were constructed. Now the Institute of
Political Sciences and International Relations operates in Kiev.
A lot of seminars are organized at schools and universities
named after Haydar Aliyev
The national leader of Azerbaijan, Haydar Aliyev died from the
lingering disease on the 12th December in 2003. He
was buried in the “Fekhri Khiyaban” (“Honor Avenue”) in Baku.
Taking into account his unexampled duties in the history
of Azerbaijan, in order to memorize him the President of
Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev signed the decree on the 10th
of March in 2004 about the creation of the “Haydar Aliyev”
Memorial complexes in the cities of Baku and Nakhchivan, the
institution of the “Haydar Aliyev” order, calling the Supreme
Military School of Azerbaijan, Baku International Airport, Baku
Deep Bases Plant and the Palace of Republic after Haydar Aliyev,
the issuance of platinum, golden and silver coins on behalf of
Haydar Aliyev and giving Haydar Aliyev’s name to the
“Baku-Tbilisi-Jeyhan” oil exporting pipeline and “Lieder” boring
